Geneva, 22 August: Wizz Air, Europe's fastest growing and most sustainable airline is announcing leadership change in the CFO position.
Jourik Hooghe, Group Chief Financial Officer of Wizz Air, has decided to step down to pursue opportunities outside of the company. Jourik will be available during the transition period until December 31, 2022.
Ian Malin will be joining Wizz Air on October 1, 2022 to take on the Group Chief Financial Officer position, based in Budapest reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. Ian will assume responsibilities for digital development, investor relations, financial planning and controlling, accounting and treasury as a member of the Company's Executive Leadership Team.
Mr. Malin has a proven track record in the finance area as a global executive. He has gained extensive professional experience over the past 22 years, among others at KPMG, Allco Finance Group, Seabury, the AJW Group and Unical Aviation. Mr. Malin is Polish-American holding bachelor and juris doctor degrees from Middlebury College and New York Law School.
Commenting on the appointments József Váradi, the Group's Chief Executive Officer said:
