SINGAPORE, 11 April 2018 - Mainboard-listed SIA Engineering Company Limited (“SIAEC” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the signing of an In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (“IFEC”) Maintenance Agreement with Thales (“Thales”).

Singapore Airlines (“SIA”) had selected Thales’ AVANT IFE system and Ka-band connectivity solution for its fleet of A350 XWB aircraft configured for medium-haul operations. This IFEC Maintenance Agreement between SIAEC and Thales will support the SIA fleet for an initial term of 10 years and the scope of services will include line maintenance, software and media content loading, and support.

The transaction is not expected to have a material impact on SIAEC’s financial performance in FY2018/19. None of the Directors of SIAEC has any interest, direct or indirect, in the transaction.
