SATA Internacional plans to secure three new planes by the end of 2025, while the replacement of the SATA Air Azores regional fleet is being analyzed, according to the chairwoman Teresa Gonçalves, speaking on the sidelines of the Sustainable Regional Aviation Forum 2024.

One A320neo is in final certification phase for Azores Airlines, with another A320neo delivering in 1Q 2024 and the first A321XLR set to arrive in 2025.

As for SATA Air Azores, the fleet replacement study will begin with the two Q200 planes, which are almost 27 years old.

The Group fleet changes are part of several measures to renew the fleet to a more greener, efficient one with the use of sustainable fuel. Sustainability, at various levels, “is fundamental” for the company, stated chairwoman Gonçalves.
