State-owned company, Polish Aviation Group (PGL), submitted a request to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection in regards to the acquisition and direct control of LOT Polish Airlines, LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services and LS Airport Services.
PGL aims to consolidate selected assets in the aviation market, with all three companies becoming entities controlled by the Group effective sometime in fall 2018, according to Rafal Milczarski, the president of LOT and chairman of PGL.
Polish Aviation Group was established in January 2018 as a joint stock company with a capital of US$288 million.
