The Kazakh low-cost carrier FlyArystan continues to grow its fleet of aircraft. The airline has received two aircraft: Airbus A320 NEO and Airbus A320 CEO featuring 188 and 180 seats respectively. FlyArystan now has 22 Airbus A320 aircraft in its fleet.
Richard Ledger, Acting President of FlyArystan:
“The delivery of the new aircraft reflects our commitment to the growth of air travel to, from and within Kazakhstan. It enables us to develop an even more extensive and dense route network both domestically and internationally. This summer we have resumed and increased international flights to Bishkek, Baku, and Istanbul; and we continue domestic growth to satisfy the demand from across all regions of Kazakhstan. This domestic connectivity is one of our key priorities, contributing to tourism, business and social development”.
FlyArystan, which recently won the Skytrax award as the best low-cost carrier in Central Asia and the CIS for the second time, has increased passenger numbers by more than five times since the first year of operations in 2019. In 2023, the number of passengers reached 3.6 million. In 2023, every tenth passenger that flew with FlyArystan had never flown before.
The new airplanes received the names of Antares (Airbus A320 CEO) and Capella (Airbus A320 NEO) in honor of the stars, which the passengers have traditionally chosen.
