Wizz Air, the largest low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced a new route from Olsztyn-Mazury Airport to Dortmund. The newest WIZZ service will commence on 14 May and operate with two weekly flights, on Mondays and Fridays. Seats on the new route are on sale and can be booked on wizzair.com or via the WIZZ mobile app with fares starting from as low as PLN 59 / EUR 14,99*.
The new route will strengthen business relations between Poland and Germany, while also stimulating the local aviation, tourism and hospitality industries.
With the popular London Luton service, which operates up to three times a week, WIZZ now connects Masuria with two destinations, offering the lowest fares and an excellent customer experience on-board one of Europe’s most modern aircraft fleets, to both Polish customers and the visitors to the country. In 2017 Wizz Air carried 56,000 passengers on its Olsztyn-Mazury routes supporting over 40** jobs in associated industries in the region.
Along with Olsztyn-Mazury, Wizz Air offers flights from seven other Polish airports: Warsaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan, Wroclaw, Lublin and Szczecin. In 2017, 8.1 million passengers travelled with WIZZ on its low-fare Polish routes, 17% growth year on year. Following its already announced massive expansion for 2018, Wizz Air will have 25 aircraft and 1000 customer-oriented crew based in Poland by the end of the year.
With its newest Olsztyn-Mazury route, Wizz Air now offers 165 low-fare routes to 30 countries from its eight Polish airports.
