Cologne/Bonn, 12 May 2023. German Airways remains a partner for KLM Cityhopper: following the  cooperation in last year's summer timetable, the second oldest German airline started the second year of cooperation under the current contract at the end of February. It is valid until the winter flight schedule 2023/24 and includes the wet lease of five aircraft as a basis. Both partners intent to continue the cooperation beyond the coming winter.

Specifically, an Embraer E190 from German Airways has been stationed in Düsseldorf for KLM Cityhopper since the end of February.  With the start of the summer flight schedule at the end of March, another jet began service from Stuttgart. From mid-June, a third aircraft will be deployed from Basel. In July, two more aircraft will be added, stationed in Aalborg and in Frankfurt.

The wetlease will continue in the coming winter flight schedule.

Maren Wolters, Managing Director of German Airways: "The past months have shown that both companies are satisfied with the cooperation. We bring a very reliable service and a highly motivated team. And we are very pleased to be able to support KLM Cityhopper as an integral part of the flight operations there. We both agree to continue the cooperation beyond the current contract."
