WDL Aviation flies for Greek Sky Express
The Cologne-based airline WDL Aviation is now flying for the Greek airline Sky Express. The wet lease agreement covers a BAe 146 regional jet with the identification D-AWUE.
WDL, which is part of the Berlin Zeitfracht Group and is based at Cologne Bonn Airport, is thus active in 18 countries throughout Europe. Other cooperations exist with British Airways and HOP.
Walter Böhnke, managing director of WDL Aviation, stated: “We are pleased to announce the signing of a contract with Sky Express. Customer demand for our high-quality, flexible, and cost-effective solutions continues to increase. This shows that our growth strategy is paying off.”
WDL Aviation is one of Europe’s leading providers of aircraft leasing services for regional jets. The airline’s fleet consists of six BAe 146 jets. The airline currently gets another four Embraer E190 jets. The first jet will fly for WDL on 02ndMay 2019. The Embraer jets are one of the world’s best-selling regional jets and are used by many established European airlines.
