Spanish airline Vueling is expected to launch its new Austrian subsidiary airline, Anisec Luftfahrt GmbH, out of Vienna on 15 July 2018.
Anisec Luftfahrt, which was founded in November 2017, is likely to fly under the "Vueling Austria" brand.
Routes to include Malaga, Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Ibiza, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca, Venice, Olbia, Milan Malpensa, Larnaca, Dubrovnik, Paris CDG, and London Gatwick.
Vueling had earlier promised to deploy up to eight aircraft from Vienna and use the airport as a base for expansion into eastern Europe if it had succeeded in taking over Austrian carrier, NIKI. Ryanair eventually won the bid.
Vueling is owned by International Airlines Group (IAG), headquartered in the UK.
