Volotea adds five more investors via minority stake sale
Volotea added new shareholders, as the Meridia Private Equity fund, owned by Javier Faus, along with four other investors, bought a minority stake in the Spanish airline, which was created by Carlos Muñoz and Lázaro Ros, the founders of Vueling.
Besides Meridia, both Elysium and HRS Management based in the US, along with the Netherlands-based Rijn Capital and a fourth European fund, invested in Volotea. Additionally, the change also means US-based venture capital firm CCMP will exit its shareholding once the deal closes.
