Cancun, Quintana Roo, May 28, 2019.- Viva Aerobus, Mexico´s ultra-low-cost carrier, is the first and only Mexican airline to operate directly the Cancun - Camagüey route. The service will begin operation next June 4 with two flights per week (Tuesdays and Saturdays) at prices starting from $115 dollars in single flight.
At the beginning of 2019, Viva Aerobus started operating Cancun - Camagüey in partnership with travel agencies and tour operators in charter flights. With this announcement, the company reaffirms its commitment to Cancun, strengthening the connectivity of one of the most important tourist destinations in the country and a key entry of the international market. Currently, Viva Aerobus is the airline that offers the largest number of destinations from this Mexican city, totaling 23 routes. This expansion will help boosting the growth that the company reports in terms of customers. Only in the first quarter 2019, Viva achieved a 13% increase in the number of passengers from / to Cancun compared to 1Q2018.
