Safran Nacelles has signed a General Term Agreement (GTA) with Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd for the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) of its Airbus A330ceo fleet of thrust reversers. All the operations will be carried out at the Safran Nacelles repair centre in Pont-Audemer (France).

This five-year long term agreement demonstrates the trust that Virgin Atlantic has placed in Safran Nacelles. It is also the result of a long-standing cooperation that started in 2004 with the entry into service of the Airbus A340-500-600 fleet.

By selecting NacelleLifeTM, Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd has chosen the reliability of Safran Nacelle’s expertise for the development of repair solutions. The airline also favours a guaranteed OEM* support.

Olivier Savin, Safran Nacelles' Executive Vice President - Customer Support & Services, welcomed this new agreement: “I am very pleased to count Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd as one of our most trusting customers. All the MRO shop teams are proud to continue working and supporting operations for this esteemed airline with whom they are developing a wealth of shared experience”.

Phil Wardlaw, Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd.’s Engineering & Maintenance Vice President commented: “We are very satisfied with the support Safran Nacelles has provided us. We know we can count on an OEM expert which ensures maximum aircraft operability.”

Virgin Atlantic Airways Ltd operates 10 Airbus A330ceo and four thrust reversers have already undergone overhauls at Safran Nacelles Pont-Audemer (France) support center.
