SR Technics, a world leading MRO service provider, is pleased to announce a record-time completion of a complex cabin refurbishment on four Airbus 330-200s for partner Virgin Atlantic Airways.

In addition to a customized trolley stowage unit, the cabin reconfiguration introduced business class and premium economy seating including IFE. Despite the tight deadline and the fact that the project took place during the busy holiday season, all four aircraft were delivered on schedule between December 2018 and January 2019.

Virgin Atlantic Airways has counted on SR Technics for aircraft maintenance services for nearly three decades. Since 2004, it has also relied on the MRO provider for design organization and approvals, since SR Technics is renowned for its innovative cabin reconfiguration services and its close work with customers from start to finish.

“This has been a very successful retrofit programme for Virgin Atlantic to improve our customer proposition on these aircraft,” said Rick Daniels, Head of Cabin Product & Maintenance at Virgin Atlantic. “The contribution of SR Technics in delivering the full integration package including the STC was paramount to that success. They achieved this in extremely challenging timeframes to a very high standard, and on cost. They led the programme working cohesively in conjunction with Virgin Atlantic, the vendors and OEMs. In all, we are extremely pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with SR Technics on similar projects in the future.”

“SR Technics’ Engineering team have once again proven its’ ability to complete a complex cabin reconfiguration STC with an on-time delivery of four Airbus A330-200s for Virgin Atlantic Airways. The customer's quality-, time- and budget-parameters were met due to strong team expertise and dedication,” said SR Technics Vice President Aircraft Engineering Randolph Odi. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Virgin Atlantic Airways’ on future projects.”
