(Vietjet, October 27, 2017) - Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (stock code VJC) has just announced its information about the preliminary business results of the third quarter and 9 months of 2017.

In the third quarter of 2017, thanks to the expansion of new routes and the operating improvement of existing routes, Vietjet’s revenue and profit increased significantly compared to last year’s same period and exceeded the plan. Specifically, air tranport revenue reached to VND6,142 billion, increased by 34.4% compared to the same period of 2016. Pre-tax profit stood at VND1,054 billion, an increased of 35.1% year on year, 9 month accumulated ones reached to VND2,982 billion.

Up to September 30, 2017, Vietjet’s total assets stood at VND26,289 billion, an increase of 57,39% year on year. On the first 9 months of this year, taking the delivery of 5 additional airplanes,, Vietjet commenced 13 new routes, increased the total number of routes to 73. In particular, there are 38 domestic routes and 35 international ones. The OTP in 9 months was 85.4%.

In the fourth quarter, Vietjet is expected to open 6 new routes in the 4th quarter, increasing the total new routes of this year 2017 by 19 ones.

Based on the current business results, Vietjet estimated its pre-tax profit in 2017 could exceed 10% of the budgeted plan which was approved at the annual shareholder meeting.
