Boca Raton, FL, February 21, 2023 — VAS Aero Services, a global leader in aviation logistics and aftermarket services, announced it has acquired two Boeing B737-700 aircraft for teardown and subsequent parts harvesting and marketing.
VAS will manage the teardown of both aircraft at Marana, AZ, with disassembly scheduled to begin in Q1 2023, adding to the vast number of Boeing aircraft that VAS has disassembled over the years. Used Serviceable Materials (USM) parts from the new teardowns will augment VAS’s widely accessed aftermarket parts inventory, distributed through the company’s worldwide airline operator and MRO customer base.
“As the industry’s leading provider of narrowbody aircraft transition management services, VAS has established itself as a trusted Best Partner to airlines and lessors looking to realize maximum value from their soon-to-be-retired assets,” said VAS CEO Tommy Hughes. “The addition of these two Boeing aircraft to our deep inventory assures that we will have superior, high-demand USM parts for our customers around the world, and further cements our position as the premier provider of USM parts and solutions to the global aviation marketplace.”
