Vallair announces the purchase of one Airbus A319, MSN639, from Aigle Azur (FR)
The aircraft was delivered by Aigle Azur crews and its CEO in person to Vallair’s logistics, R&O and teardown facility in Chateauroux, France. Both Vallair and Aigle Azur’s CEOs were on-board of the short flight that was operated from Orly, France.
Gregoire Lebigot, President and CEO, said, “We are very pleased to have closed this deal with Aigle Azur. It reaffirms our confidence in the A319 aircraft, and will help to support our internal requirements and projected growth.”
Frantz Yvelin, President & CEO of Aigle Azur, says: “This particular airplane was Aigle Azur’s oldest bird and it was important for us to ensure a proper and efficient phase out. We know and enjoy working with our colleagues and friends at Vallair since years and are consequently very happy to have closed this deal with Vallair, here in Europe, as their reactivity, their knowledge and experience related to end of service aircraft is unmatched”.
This latest transaction further solidifies Vallair’s strong position in the aviation asset management business, and comes on top of over 50 narrow-body aircraft purchases in recent years.
