AJW, a world leader in the global management of aircraft spares, has been awarded ISO 27001 accreditation by The British Standard Institution - the most widely adopted information security standard in the world.
The certification, which is recognised as one of the most highly-respected international standards available in information security management, enables companies like AJW to certify the security practices they adopt within their organisation. The certification involves a systematic examination of AJW’s information security risks, taking into consideration any threats or vulnerabilities.
The standard will be an addition to the company’s ISO 9001 and AS9120 accreditation, which AJW has held since 2009.
Liam O’Reilly, Head of IT & Data Security at AJW, said: “The certification is an excellent achievement and provides added assurance to our customers that we secure our information systems to the highest standards.
“By aligning our policies and procedures against this independent, internationally recognised standard, our customers and partners can be assured of the resilience and security of all our products and services.”
AJW’s adoption of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) that is aligned to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), reiterates its commitment to using the best practices for information security management.
Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO at AJW, said: “Our focus on safety and quality is instilled in everything we do. Strengthening our commitment to providing our customers with the highest levels of assurance about the way their information is managed and secured is an example of this.”
