UIA returns to Copenhagen
Ukraine International resumed air services between Ukraine and Denmark. On April 25, 2018, the carrier operated the first non-stop scheduled flight to Copenhagen.
UIA operates nine weekly flights to/from Copenhagen on Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircraft with two-class cabin configuration – Business Class and Economy Class. UIA offers one-way economy class tickets (all taxes and surcharges included) for Copenhagen – Kiev flights at the price from 23 Euro (when booking 6 – 10 months in advance).
At Kiev Boryspil International Airport, all flights to/from Copenhagen are scheduled to provide optimal connections with other UIA flights to the cities of Ukraine, Europe, Indian Subcontinent, and Asia. Therefore, passengers are welcome to take advantage of vast travel opportunities.
“We are delighted to be back in Copenhagen. In late 1990s, we had to cease flying to the capital of Denmark since our point-to-point operations did not generate sufficient passenger traffic, – noted Yuri Miroshnikov, UIA President. – Today, we expect to boost traffic volumes through our business model of a network carrier. Being Ukraine’s legacy carrier, UIA will not only offer point-to-point operations between Ukraine and Denmark but also guarantee convenient connections with long-haul flights to Beijing, Bangkok, Colombo, and Delhi via Kiev.”
For the first time ever, UIA launches a new route with as many as nine weekly flights. The operation of Kiev – Copenhagen scheduled flights will enable to create up to 50 jobs in the airline and 6 – 8 jobs in related businesses.
The transit passenger traffic between Denmark and the third countries via Kiev is expected to exceed 70,000 passengers per year.
