On Tuesday, April 3, Ukraine International enhanced its fleet with another brand new Boeing 737-800 Next Generation aircraft, the third out of four B737 NGs expected to arrive in 2018.

Officially registered in Ukraine under the UR-UIB registration number, the aircraft accommodates 186 passengers in two-class seating configuration. UIA expects to operate the new Boeing 737-800 NG across its medium-haul route network.

“In Q1 2018, we received four aircraft, i.e. our first long-haul B777 and three medium-haul B737 NG, two of which arrived from Boeing facilities right off the assembly line, – noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director. – Delivered by the start of Summer Schedule these aircraft empower us to substantially increase our fleet capacity, offer travelers more seats on the most popular flights, and ensure on-time operations.”

In 2018, UIA expects to receive 10 aircraft: 4 wide-body long-haul Boeing 777-200ERs, one of them is already in operation, 4 medium-haul Boeing 737-800 NGs, three of them have already arrived, and 2 Embraer 195.

UIA operates 42 aircraft including 29 medium haul Boeing 737 NG aircraft with the average age of 9 years. Currently, UIA fleet’s average age amounts to 11.3 years.
