In line with the growth of its global operator portfolio, TrueNoord, the specialist regional aircraft lessor, is pleased to announce changes to its business development team in Asia and Africa, Middle East, Russia & CIS.
Carst Lindeboom, Sales Director – Asia Pacific, will assume additional responsibility for India and is looking forward to maximising the Company’s penetration of the burgeoning domestic sector. “India is one of the key markets in Asia Pacific and it will continue to be a priority area for TrueNoord” he comments. “I look forward to continue to work with our existing customer IndiGo, lessee of five ATR 72-600s, to building new relationships and exploring the new regional aircraft leasing opportunities that this vibrant market offers.”
As TrueNoord builds on its commitment to the African continent and develops its relationship with Ethiopian Airlines, recent lessee of a Dash 8-400, Maarten Grift will transition from his sales support role in the Dublin Office to Sales Manager – Africa, Middle East and CIS. Grift is enthusiastic about his new focus on a region with huge potential: “I look forward to furthering the relationship with our airline customers and broadening our reach as new and existing markets emerge and evolve across the region. TrueNoord will continue to support these fast-developing markets with the regional fleet solutions as operators seek to modernise and upgrade their aircraft.”
Anne-Bart Tieleman, CEO – TrueNoord, pays tribute to Sibert van Leeuwen, previously Sales Director Russia, CIS, Middle East, Africa and India, who is retiring from the role now being split between Lindeboom and Grift. “I’d like to acknowledge Sibert’s incredible knowledge and his real commitment to the regional aviation sector, he has been an inspiration to Maarten and our other younger team members. It is also due to his drive and focus that we have recently leased our first aircraft in Africa cementing our presence on every global continent.”
He adds “In Carst we have a seasoned manager absorbing the complexities of India under his Asia Pacific remit. Maarten has been providing a stalwart sales support role for the team for a number of years from the Dublin office – he now has the opportunity to develop TrueNoord’s global relationships with the regional airline community across a diverse and stimulating marketplace. I am confident they will strengthen our team and thrive with these additional responsibilities.”
