22 January 2018 – AJW Technique, the Montreal-based maintenance hub of AJW Group’s component repair and overhaul capability, has passed the Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) evaluation with zero findings and zero observations.
This highly successful audit means that the world-renowned 160,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility has once again secured approval from the TCCA - a pre-requisite for any organisation in Canada to perform maintenance services on aircraft components and to issue airworthiness certificates for them.
AJW Technique first received TCCA approval in January 2013, when it was authorised to perform maintenance services on galley equipment. Since then, it has rapidly expanded its range of component capabilities to include avionics, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, power generation, safety equipment, electromechanical, lighting and instruments.
AJW Technique has recently celebrated five years of success. In that time, it has grown into a business where its team of 170 licensed technicians provide support to over 300 airlines across the globe, processing in excess of 35,000 units per year across 6,000 part number lines.
Christopher Whiteside, President and CEO, AJW Group, said: “This certification from the TCCA is of utmost importance to AJW as an aerospace service provider operating in Canada and we are extremely proud to have passed the audit with flying colours. It demonstrates the exceptionally high standards that our team of licensed technicians deliver day in, day out to improve airlines’ component reliability, maximising time on-wing and reducing overall direct maintenance costs.”
“This is significant for AJW Technique as it provides the ultimate recognisable mark of quality that we need to support the aircraft spares supply chain worldwide.”
The audit, performed by Transport Canada, was a Process Verification Audit. These are normally conducted every two years to ensure that Approved Maintenance Organizations operate correctly within the Canadian Aviation Regulations and that they have a robust Quality Assurance system in place.
In addition to the TCCA approval which is bilaterally recognised by the FAA (US), AJW Technique also holds approvals from ANAC (Brazil), EASA (Europe), DGCA (Indonesia), CAAC (China), CAAS (Singapore) and HKCAD (Hong Kong) enabling support to AJW Group’s customers’ worldwide.
