BANGKOK 18 April, 2022 - Thai AirAsia X (XJ), the leading low cost long-haul carrier in Asia, announces it is appointing Dr. Patima Jeerapaet to the position of Chief Executive Officer in support of its post-COVID-19 growth strategy and upcoming resumption of services to Japan and South Korea.

Dr. Patima brings over 30 years of experience in administration, management consultancy, strategic planning and operations across a variety of organizations, both public and private to the role. He has previously served as President of Thailand Automotive Institute, Director General of The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP), Managing Director of Colliers International Thailand and Managing Director of The Pasupat Group of companies. He earned his bachelor degree in Business Administration (BBA) and master degree in Business Administration (MBA) and Doctorate of Philosophy in Management and Organization Development (Phd. OD) from Assumption University (Thailand). His appointment to  the role of CEO for Thai AirAsia X took effect on 1 April, 2022.

At the same time, Nadda Buranasiri, the first chief executive officer of Thai AirAsia X will continue to play a key role in the company as an Executive Advisor,  developing strategies for sustainable growth. Since starting at Thai AirAsia X in January 2014, Nadda has served as a dedicated CEO, driving continual growth through a variety of challenges.  His leadership  propelled the airline to its success as a popular regional long-haul carrier that achieved profit within its first three years of operation, when it also gained   industry leadership with strong performance on routes to Japan, South Korea, China and Australia.
