Temporary Suspension of Jetstar Asia Services
As a result of new government restrictions across multiple jurisdictions in recent days and subsequent unprecedented falls in travel demand, Jetstar Asia will temporarily suspend all services for an initial period of three weeks, from 23 March to at least 15 April 2020.
The decision is in response to factors beyond our control including a rapid decline in forward travel demand due to government containment measures, corporate travel bans and a general pullback from everyday activities across the community.
This represents the grounding of all Jetstar Asia’s 18 Airbus A320 aircraft.
Jetstar Asia is containing the impact as much as possible by asking our people to take paid and unpaid leave during this time, in addition to cancelling annual bonuses and the Annual Wage Supplement.
For customers impacted by this suspension, Jetstar Asia will issue the following waiver.
Customers with existing bookings on any Jetstar Asia flight# from 15 March to 30 April 2020*, will be offered a full refund in the form of a travel credit voucher.
Due to huge call volumes, the fastest and easiest way for customers to request a voucher is by visiting Manage My Booking and by following these steps:
- Enter your booking number and last name
- Click on the 'find out more' button
- Select 'check flight options' button
- Click 'view other options' button
Select 'request reimbursement'.
If flights were booked through a travel agency or third-party website, customers will be able to make changes on the Manage My Booking function on jetstar.com.
