TDA: Completion project of four young A319s
Over the past 3 quarters, TDA has acquired 4x A319s for part-out. The aircraft used to fly with the national airline of the Czech Republic, better known as CSA.
In December 2020, we started with the disassembly of MSN3094 (performed by ASI) at Cotswold, Kemble in the UK.
A few months later, MSN3406 / 3452 and 3660 were added to our portfolio, which have been disassembled by eCube at St. Athan in Wales. The relatively young aircraft have served on an average of 12 years each with CSA, and the German low-cost airline Eurowings on lease.
Big project
With demand for air travel increasing, we are seeing a steady increase in demand for spares as well. Therefore it was crucial to find the right spares at the right time.
All four aircraft (built in 2008) come with interesting units. For example: 3452 was equipped with an APU which had been overhauled in 2019 and was fitted with OEM new parts. The radome of 3406 is in excellent condition, and all landing gear units are well maintained with all of the paperwork complete.
The majority of the parts are stocked at our HQ warehouse from where we will only serve on out-right demand, but we also have items ready for exchange from our pool of A320 materials. All in all, it’s a big project, especially because we have sent items directly to the repair shops to be added to our exchange pool.
