TAP’s first Airbus A321 Long Range, CS - TXA, starts commercial flights today, with Prague its first destination.

This new Airbus model is TAP’s first narrow body aircraft capable of operating transatlantic routes, offering the premium comfort of a long-haul aircraft. There are 16 seats in executive, with four of these individual, and if offers more space in economy - the equivalent of that available on the Airbus A330neo.

This Airbus A321LR, which is the first of 14 of this model ordered from Airbus, can carry up to 168 passengers. Along with the Airbus A330neo, this aircraft allows us strengthen our medium- and long-haul services. TAP is the first airline in the world to operate both the Airbus A330neo and the Airbus A321 Long Range.

The company is to receive a total of 37 new aircraft this year, and 71 by 2025, when it will have one of the most modern fleets in the world. This fleet renewal and expansion has enabled TAP to announce more flights and new destinations.
