Tahiti Air Charter, which is based in Raiatea, was granted its AOC on 04 April 2018, allowing the carrier to become the first seaplane operator of the islands.

The carrier plans to launch its operations in June 2018, providing tourist flights and excursions around the Bora Bora islands and beyond. Additionally, it will offer charter and cargo flights for local companies, as it aims to complement the local Air Tahiti network.

Tahiti Air Charter will operate the amphibious variant of the Cessna 208 Caravan, which can carry eight passengers.
