SWISS reports stable January 2018 passenger volumes
Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS)1 transported 1,175,761 passengers in January, 0.9% fewer than the same month last year. The airline also operated fewer flights in the month: 10,943 in total, a 2.5% reduction.
Systemwide January capacity was raised 1.9% in available seat-kilometre (ASK) terms. Total traffic volume for the month, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPK), was 1.9% down on its prior-year level. Systemwide seat load factor declined accordingly, slipping 2.8 percentage points to 74.5%.
