STS AeroMod Takes Flight; Offers Global Aircraft Modification Services to OEMs, Leasing Companies and Airlines
Melbourne, Fla., September 19, 2017 – Nearly two weeks ago, STS Aviation Group formally launched STS Mod Center, a company that specializes in providing aircraft modification packages to airlines, leasing companies and OEMs at its state-of-the-art hangar facility in Melbourne, Florida. Today, STS Aviation Group is proud to announce the formation of STS AeroMod, a global extension of STS Mod Center that deploys rapid response teams who specialize in taking aircraft modification projects from concept to completion.
Daniel Burgess, who is the former Managing Director of AeroMod International, is now the Sr. Vice President of STS AeroMod, and he will spearhead the company’s offsite, mobile aircraft modification efforts moving forward.
“Airlines are now retaining aircraft for a longer service life, and the aviation industry is being inundated with requests to offer customizable aircraft modification packages that are tailored to individual customer needs rather than the one-size-fits-all approach that’s typically delivered by most MROs,” states Burgess. “Whether it’s an interior reconfiguration, in-seat power installation, IFEC installation or the myriad of new, mandated flight safety products such as ADS-B and GPS upgrades, STS AeroMod can assist with product selection, program management, installation design, certification, PMA kitting, as well as installation and post installation support. All of these things, when coupled together, make working with STS AeroMod a true concept-to-completion experience.”
By deploying a concept-to-completion approach, STS AeroMod’s mobile, rapid installation teams will travel from client location to client location while tapping into the expertise and resources made available by its parent company, STS Aviation Group.
“STS AeroMod will utilize all of the skills and resources it has available to ensure that every aircraft modification project it performs at client locations around the world, including in-flight WiFi installs, are done expertly and in a timely fashion,” iterates Mark Smith, Group President of STS Aviation Group. “Nothing costs airlines more money than a plane that’s not in service, and it’s our goal to provide exceptional results while eliminating unnecessary AOG times so we can get client aircraft back into revenue-generating status faster than any other aircraft modification company on the planet.”
On a final note, STS AeroMod will make a few exciting announcements at this year's MRO Europe conference happening on October 3 - 5th in London. If you and / or your colleagues are attending the event, fly on over to booth #523 to learn more.
