Bengaluru-based Star Air is set to add more Embraer 145 aircraft to its existing fleet in coming months. The company has a tie-up with Embraer and placed a new order for the purchase of three more advanced Embraer ERJ 145 aircraft. This deal is expected to strengthen Star Air relationship with Embraer further.

Embraer is a Brazilian aerospace company that manufactures commercial, executive, military and agricultural aircraft. The company holds a prominent position in the global aviation vertical as it is the third-largest producer of civil aircraft, after Boeing and Airbus.

Embraer aircraft is known for its safety, comfort, and speed. ERJ 145 aircraft have an impressive safety track record. In the last 30 years, Embraer aircrafts have caused no fatal accidents. Advanced terrain and traffic collision avoidance system, universal flight management system, and a fully digital engine control system make this aircraft a resilient and secured one.

Impressively, Star Air is the first airline operator in India who is using this popular aircraft for its commercial activities. Currently, the Star Air fleet consists of two ERJ 145 aircrafts and the three aircrafts will join its fleet by Nov 2019. Star Air is planning to increase its fleet size to 10 aircrafts by Dec 2020.

When it comes to comfort, Embraer 145 is one of the aircrafts which tops the list amongst its peers due to various compelling features like a modern gallery, enclosed lavatory, increased leg space, wider angle of vision, aisle seats and state-of-art bright cabin.

In speed factor too, there is no match to Embraer aircraft which can fly up to an impressive pace of 963 KMPH and travel distance of 1500 nautical miles in one go.
