SCHWAEBISCH HALL, Germany / NEW DELHI, India – Recaro Aircraft Seating has won over SpiceJet with an exceptionally short delivery time. The Indian airline has ordered close to 10,000 BL3530Smart economy class seats, and the first 8 shipsets will be delivered in 2018. Pre-defined configurations simplify processes, save costs and shorten program execution time. SpiceJet’s 50 B737MAX aircraft will be equipped with Recaro’s new lightweight seats for short and medium-haul routes beginning in the third quarter of 2018.

Moreover, the BL3530Smart will be configured for SpiceJet with a high literature pocket, a net pocket for stowage of personal belongings and composition leather dress covers. Additionally the so called SpiceMax seats will be equipped with a 6-way unique BL3530Smart headrest.
