South African Airlink Leases ERJ-140

SA Airlink will acquire 11 Embraer ERJ-140 aircraft through a leasing contract with the Brazilian jetmaker.

Airlink Fleet and network

The airline currently operates a fleet of 43 aircraft, including the AVRO RJ85, ERJ-135, ERJ-145, BAe Jetstream 41 and Cessna Grand Caravan. The addition of 11 jets will bring the number of aircraft to 54 of which 30 are Embraer aircraft.

Johannesburg based Airlink is South Africa’s first feed airline, which connects big city’s in South Africa with smaller cities. The airline flies to destinations in South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar and Zimbabwe.
