SMBC AERO ENGINE LEASE (SAEL) is delighted to announce the delivery of the first LEAP1B spare engine to Akasa Air, India’s newest airline.

Akasa Air has entered the Indian market with a sustainable and robust business plan at a promising time as the country’s aviation industry is on the way to recovery. This is the first of three spare engines to be delivered over the course of 2022-23 and we look forward to supporting Akasa’s fleet growth.
