Smartwings to launch flights to London’s largest airport

Prague, 30 September 2021 - Air carrier Smartwings is adding a new destination to its autumn offering. As of September 30, the company will be offering scheduled flights from the Czech capital Prague to Heathrow, the UK’s biggest airport. Smartwings will initially offer four London-bound services a week and subsequently daily flights under the winter flight schedule. As of October 20, Smartwings will also resume direct flights from Prague to Dubai, UAE, with a daily service.

Flights will depart from Prague to London on Thursday at 9:45, on Friday at 14:00, on Sunday at 18:50, and on Monday at 15:50. Flights will depart from London to Prague on Thursday at 12:05, on Friday at 16:00, on Sunday at 20:45, and on Monday at 17:45 local time.

Smartwings offers one-way tickets for prices starting at 46 EUR. Customers can purchase flight tickets on the Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites and at flight ticket vendors.

Under the winter flight schedule, Smartwings will offer services from Prague to London; Dubai; four Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura); Málaga; Tel Aviv; Mallorca; Madeira (Funchal); Antalya; Hurghada and Marsa Alam, Egypt; and St. Petersburg, Russia. Charter flights will be heading to Cape Verde (Boa Vista, Sal), Oman (Salalah), and three airports in Tunisia (Djerba, Enfidha, Monastir).

Smartwings is the largest Czech airline. Besides the Czech Republic, the company operates flights also from its hubs in Poland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Canary Islands. As of 1 October 2021, Smartwings will newly provide air transport services for German travel agencies from 10 airports in Germany and Switzerland, and from mid-October also from the Canary Islands to six European destination (Helsinki, Finland; Belgrade, Serbia; Tallinn, Estonia; Sofia, Bulgaria; and Bodø and Tromsø, Norway). Besides scheduled and charter flights, Smartwings provides a wide range of special flights for international sports clubs and major humanitarian and sports organizations worldwide.  Smartwings Group operates a fleet of 44 airplanes.

Stringent hygienic regulations apply on board of Smartwings Group aircraft. Passengers must wear nose and mouth protection when boarding Smartwings Group aircraft (a respirator mask). Smartwings clients can reschedule their flight for free. Together with their flight tickets, passengers can also purchase travel insurance directly on the Smartwings website complete with coverage for the COVID-19 disease.
