Prague, 4 May 2021 – Czech air carrier Smartwings is adding London as a new destination to its offering. As of June 3, Smartwings will operate regular flights to London’s largest airport, Heathrow. The Prague - London service will be operated four times a week: on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. Flight tickets to London are available on Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites and at flight ticket vendors.
Flights will depart from Prague to London on Thursday at 9:45, on Friday at 14:00, on Sunday at 18:50, and on Monday at 15:50. Flights will depart from London to Prague on Thursday at 12:05, on Friday at 16:00, on Sunday at 20:45, and on Monday at 17:45.
As of Wednesday, May 5, Smartwings is resuming regular flights from Prague to the Canary Island of Lanzarote. The line will be operated once a week on Wednesday, of July every Tuesday. This is the fourth Canary Island among Smartwings’ regular destinations. Smartwings will operate six flights a week from Prague to the Canary Islands.
Smartwings currently operates regular flights from Prague to Split, Croatia; Málaga, Spain; Mallorca; the Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura); Madeira (Funchal); Egypt (Hurghada and Marsa Alam), and to St. Petersburg, Russia. Charter flights are available from Prague to UAE (Ras Al Khaimah) and to Djerba, Tunisia.
On the first weekend in May, Smartwings launched its first services from airports in Brno and Ostrava, with regular lines to Hurghada and Marsa Alam in Egypt. As of May 29, Smartwings is planning to operate regular flights from Ostrava and Brno to Antalya, Turkey. In the summer season, Smartwings will operate more than twenty regular lines between Brno and Ostrava and destinations in Greece, Bulgaria, Egypt, Italy, and Turkey, as well as charter flights to other destinations for travel agents.
In the summer season, Smartwings Group offers flights from Czech airports to 76 destinations in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, UAE, Cape Verde, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Malta, Ukraine, and Island. Resumption of air traffic is conditional on applicable travel restrictions imposed by the respective countries in association with the health situation.
During the summer season, Smartwings is planning to operate flights not only from Czech airports but also from its hubs in Poland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Canary Islands.
Smartwings offers its clients free rebooking for all existing and new individual bookings by 30 June 2021. The latest departure date for a rebooked flight is 31 March 2022. Together with their flight tickets, clients can purchase travel insurance on the Smartwings website complete with coverage of the costs in the event of contracting the COVID-19 disease.
