Small Planet Airlines sp z o.o. (SPA) informs that Jarosław Jeschke is stepping down from his current role as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) due to health reasons.

The Board of Small Planet Airlines has been aware of these problems and has been working on finding a suitable replacement for the past 6 months.

Announcing the departure of Mr. Jeschke, Vytautas Kaikaris (Chairman of the Management Board) said: “I would like to thank Jarek for his continuous involvement in the growth of Small Planet Airlines in Poland. His hard work and commitment resulted in growing Small Planet Airlines to become the biggest charter operator in the Polish market in 2017 (CAA statistics), and in receiving an award for best charter airline in Poland twice in 2015 and 2016, amongst many other successes.”

Mr. Kaikaris will be taking over the role of Chief Executive Officer in SPA Poland and in order to strengthen the management team, Mr. Bartosz Czajka has been nominated in the role of Deputy CEO starting today (11th June 2018)

Mr. Czajka is an experienced aviation executive with over a decade of experience in different roles at LOT Polish Airlines and Star Alliance. Announcing this new appointment to Small Planet Airlines sp. z o.o., Mr. Kaikaris said: “I am very happy that Bartek will be joining our team in Poland. I strongly believe that his experience and knowledge will be a great contribution to our business and will ensure our continued development.”
