Leisure charter carrier Small Planet Airlines is further expanding its presence in Germany – the airline signed contracts with German tour operators FTI Touristik and DER Touristik Deutschland and this way secured the top 4 German tour operators’ as its clients. Since 2016, Small Planet Airlines Germany is also cooperating with leisure travel giants TUI and Thomas Cook.

According to Small Planet Airlines CEO Kristijonas Kaikaris, the airline sees tremendous growth opportunities in Europe’s largest market. “Our growing presence in Germany only proves that our efforts to obtain the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) paid off. Upon starting our operations in Germany, we have gained trust from our business partners and passengers in regional airports. Now is the time to enter Germany’s major airports”.
Dusseldorf (DUS), Hamburg (HAM), Hannover (HAJ), Cologne/Bonn (CGN), and Leipzig-Halle (LEJ) will become the new hubs of Small Planet Airlines Germany.
Beginning with Winter 2017, Small Planet Airlines Germany will operate flights from Hannover to Malta and Egyptian resorts on behalf of FTI Touristik. Moreover, German passengers will have the possibility to reach Hurghada and Marsa Alam from Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Leipzig, Berlin, Weeze, Stuttgart, Munich and Hamburg.

The passengers will also have an opportunity to travel from Leipzig to the Greek islands of Crete, Kos, Rhodes, and the Canary Islands. Most of the planned flights are already booked by the major tour operators.

We are glad that together with our new partners we will be able to increase the flow of passengers even more. Small Planet Airlines offers a great price for European quality service and I believe this will fuel our growth in Germany for years to come”, says Oliver Pawel, CCO Small Planet Airlines Germany.
