SkyWorks Capital today announced the appointment of Olaf Sachau to serve as Managing Director. Olaf will be based in the Company’s headquarters in Greenwich, Connecticut. Olaf will support origination and execution of advisory and other engagements with airlines and financial institutions worldwide, as well as the development of relationships with investors seeking to enter the aviation financing sector as part of SkyWorks’ strategy to expand our asset management business.

Olaf has held various senior positions, most recently as CEO of Intrepid Aviation. Prior to Intrepid, Olaf was CEO and Managing Director at Amentum Capital, Dublin, a wholly owned subsidiary of HSH Nordbank.

Olaf’s unique background, as a well-known executive in aviation finance, will be invaluable at SkyWorks. As Thomas W. Mahr, Chairman of SkyWorks Holdings noted, “Olaf’s strong relationships with airlines and financial institutions around the world will enable us to bring SkyWorks’ value-added solutions to clients globally.
