Following the highly successful sale and leaseback of six new Airbus A220-300s earlier this year, Skytech-AIC is delighted to have been appointed by airBaltic to arrange the sale and leaseback of a further package of six new A220-300s with deliveries commencing in February 2019.

“Considering that it was both the first open market sale and leaseback of the asset and the first open market exposure of the airBaltic credit, the reaction to the initial transaction was quite unprecedented” comments John Taylor of Skytech-AIC. “The transaction was over-subscribed many times and the achieved terms were better than expectations. With the subsequent completion of the Airbus takeover of the A220 programme and airBaltic’s continued budget- beating performance, we are confident that this next package of aircraft will receive an even more positive reaction from the market.”

airBaltic is the leading carrier of the Baltic states serving destinations throughout Europe and beyond from its bases in Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius. The airline is on track to become an all-A220 operator within the next four years.
