LOS ANGELES, May 11, 2021 – Singapore Airlines has announced the reinstatement of its Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo (Narita International Airport, NRT) flight, representing the latest step in the rebuilding of its U.S. network since the schedule reductions brought about by covid-19. The restoration of the flight is SIA’s first 5th freedom sector from the U.S. to be relaunched since the start of the pandemic, a major milestone for the carrier. The reinstated service is scheduled to begin on June 16, 2021.

SIA will operate Boeing 777-300 Extended Range aircraft on the route, offering a four-cabin configuration including First Class (4 seats), Business Class (48 seats), Premium Economy Class (28 seats), and Economy Class (184 seats).

In addition to offering a new option for travelers, the reinstatement of services represents a significant increase in SIA’s freight capacity between Los Angeles, Japan, Singapore, and connecting destinations. This expanded cargo operation is anticipated to support a range of industries, including automotive, agriculture, technology and others.

5x Weekly USA-Tokyo-Singapore Flights from June 16, 2021

SQ#11 will operate from LAX to NRT five times weekly, departing Los Angeles at 14:20 on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, arriving at Narita International Airport at 17:50 (plus one day). The flight departs NRT at 19:00 and arrives at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) at 01:15 the next day.

SQ#12 will operate from SIN to NRT five times weekly, departing Singapore at 09:25 Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, arriving at Narita International Airport (NRT) at 17:30. The flight departs NRT at 18:40 and arrives at LAX at 12:50 the same day.
