Safran Landing Systems has been selected by AirAsia X (an affiliate of Air Asia) to provide landing gear maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services on its A330 fleet. The contract has been announced during the signing ceremony in Sepang, in the presence of Benyamin Ismail, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia X and Shang Cheow Beng, Managing Director of Safran Landing Systems in Singapore.

The contract covers complete overhaul and repair services for 24 landing gears of Airbus A330 aircraft. The first scheduled services will be provided by Safran Landing Systems MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) facility located in Singapore and will start this year and run through 2025.

Safran Landing Systems MRO division in Singapore is currently commissioned to provide MRO services for landing gears of the A320 fleet operated by AirAsia (32 aircraft). This newly signed contract will bring the total contracted aircraft with AirAsia Group to 56.
