Ryanair Sun recently obtained its AOC from Polish regulators, allowing the new charter carrier to begin flights in the country with initial fleet of five B737-800s. Only one aircraft has been delivered thus far, serial 44686.
The new carrier will launch its inaugural flight on 26 April 2018, flying from Poznan to Zakynthos, Greece, according to Kaczmarzyk Michael, director of airline.
Ryanair Sun plans to operate flights for Polish tour operator, Grecos Holiday, to Athens, Chania, Kefalonia, Heraklion, and Thessaloniki. A similar agreement was signed with TUI, with 240 flights per week planned. No further details were disclosed.
Ryanair Sun, which plans to become the number one charter carrier in Poland, to expand its fleet to 15 aircraft in 2019, and 25 aircraft in 2020, said Kaczmarzyk.
