Russia will not place sanctions on titanium to Boeing

The Russian government says it's response to US sanctions will not include blocking titanium to aircraft manufacturers, including Boeing and Airbus, as the move would negatively impact its state-owned titanium producer, VSMPO-Avisma.

VSMPO-Avisma had warned the Russian government about the consequences of the sanctions against the US, following a recent bill of retaliatory sanctions as a result of US actions.

VSMPO-Avisma is the world's largest supplier of titanium, and has been in business with both Boeing and Airbus for decades.
