Rolls-Royce will provide additional TotalCare® services for Philippine Airlines, covering Trent XWB engines that power six Airbus A350 aircraft.

The airline has signed a new agreement for TotalCare Parts Availability Services, a service designed to further maximise aircraft availability, under which Rolls-Royce ensures Philippine Airlines has guaranteed parts provision on site and necessary tools worldwide to maximise service efficiency.

Mr. William G. Tan, Vice President – Corporate Logistics & Services, Philippine Airlines, said: “We put great value on delivering excellent passenger service and maximising aircraft availability. This additional element of TotalCare allows us to further strengthen our level of service support, as we deploy our new Airbus A350 XWB on long-haul missions to destinations around the globe.”

Ewen McDonald, Rolls-Royce, Senior Vice President – Customers, said: “Philippine Airlines is a valued customer and we are proud to continue to find new ways to improve the level of service we can provide. Our Parts Availability Services make engine service support that much more smooth and efficient for our customers.”

The Trent XWB is the world’s most efficient large aero engine, and has achieved two million flying hours powering the Airbus A350 aircraft since the first aircraft entered service in January 2015. It is also the fastest-selling widebody engine, with more than 1,700 Trent XWB engines in service or on order with 46 operators.
