Revima acquires Flight Watching, a Toulouse based start-up specialized in digital analytics, visualization and predictive maintenance software and solutions for Airlines, MROs and OEMs, with the objective to reinforce its fleet management service offering.
Digital transformation is key for next generation actors of the MRO industry
In commercial aviation there is a growing expectation to incorporate data analytics to improve predictive maintenance, inventory optimization, overall maintenance costs and systems reliability.
Revima aims to offer its customers, through this acquisition, significantly enhanced data analytics to accurately predict impending failures & deteriorated performance of components, making it possible to take preventive actions prior to aircraft/system operational defects. FlightWatching developed since 2013 a game changing software named Wilco, taking advantage of Web based tools, advanced graphic interfaces, big data analytics and its patented aircraft remote diagnosis procedure.
A broader fleet management service offering
Revima and FlightWatching have already been working together for several years, providing Revima’s customers real time visibility on APU operations. Preventive alerts were set up by Revima’s fleet management teams to improve APU availability, reliability & repair costs.
“Today we our proud to integrate FlightWatching into the Revima family. Thanks to this important step we will be able to further develop our APU service offering and potentially extend our digital services to other components and improve the operational performance of our customers’ fleets,” said Olivier Legrand, President & CEO of Revima.
“We are extremely excited to join Revima in its acceleration within the aeronautic aftermarket. With new projects ahead, joining Revima is a great opportunity for us to anchor our predictive platform on the market and continue creating new innovative solutions for airlines, OEMs and MROs,” added Jean-Philippe Beaujard, FlightWatching CEO.
We are very enthusiastic about integrating this adventure. We have already been working together and are convinced of the efficiency of Revima’s know-how combined with the data analysis abilities of our company,“ concluded Olivier Hodac, FlightWatching Chief Technical Officer.
