Air Serbia continues to deliver exceptional operating results from the summer season even in October, which traditionally used to be considered a month of less intense traffic. The airline had 240,696 passengers, which is 13.37 per cent more compared to the 212,314 passengers from October last year and which is at the same time the best result for this month since the launch of Air Serbia. Passenger Load Factor on flights from Belgrade was increased for 3 percentage points to 75 per cent.

Exceptionally good results were also accomplished in charter traffic, with the Aviolet charter brand carrying 30.13 per cent more passengers compared to October last year. During the last month, the airplanes of the national carrier operated flights to 45 destinations from Belgrade and 12 from Niš, compared to the 37 destinations from the Serbian capital in the same period last year.

“We are very satisfied with the results achieved and we are convinced the trend will continue in the coming period. New destinations, launched in June as the result of careful strategic planning, proved to be the right move which generated significant growth. We are also happy that, with our results, we had contributed to the development of Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, whose growth reached almost 10 per cent in Q3 2019,” stated Air Serbia CEO Duncan Naysmith.

By establishing direct flights to as many as nine new destinations from Belgrade and 12 from Niš, the national carrier had its greatest expansion since it started operating under the name of Air Serbia.
