TAP is taking advantage of market opportunities to plan and optimise its network of destinations, taking into account its strategy for connecting Europe and the Americas. Starting next winter, TAP will have two direct flights a week to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The flights leave Lisbon on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 5:00 pm, arriving on the island at 9:20 pm, and then depart from Punta Cana at 10:50 pm, arriving in Lisbon at 10:20 am (local time). Tickets are on sale now. Tickets start at €399 return including taxes on the Company's website: https://www.flytap.com/en-pt/promo/punta-cana. For TAP Miles&Go Clients, flights are available from 58,000 miles, round trip.

This is TAP's second air link to Central America opened this year after the Lisbon-Cancun route that started on 27 March. The opening of these routes bolsters the Company's competitiveness at its hub in Lisbon, which is an ideal link between Europe and the Americas.

The contrast between the white sand beaches and the intense blue of the Caribbean Sea that bathes Punta Cana make this the perfect destination for those who want to relax and contemplate idyllic landscapes. TAP's flights to this new destination will be operated by a state-of-the-art Airbus A330neo model, which offers passengers high-comfort travel, less noise and the most advanced technology, including a cutting-edge in-flight entertainment and connectivity system.

The flexibility policy TAP has offered its passengers over the past year means customers who buy tickets for this route up to 31 July 2021 can change their booking free of charge up to three days before departure, which will allow them to book and organise their trips with confidence. All the conditions for free booking alterations can be found at https://www.flytap.com/en-pt/special-conditions.

TAP has also maintained a free insurance policy since last year that helps cover the costs and risks inherent to Covid-19, ensuring peace of mind for customers when travelling. This free insurance is for Customers residing in Portugal after buying return tickets in Portugal with Classic, Plus Executive and Top Executive tariffs for flights operated by TAP. It is available for journeys of up to nine passengers per booking, with a maximum duration of 30 days, starting up to 90 days after purchasing the flights, among other conditions. All the information about the insurance TAP provides in partnership with CHUBB European Group SE insurance company - Branch in Portugal, can be seen here.

TAP will continue to monitor the pandemic and its operational impacts, adjusting the list of routes and flights whenever circumstances require.
