Tuesday, August 30th – the Nordic low-fare airline will start direct long-haul flights from Berlin to New York, Boston and Toronto.

Flights will be operated from Berlin Tegel Airport (TXL) to New York John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), Boston (BOS) and Toronto (YYZ) starting from June 2019. Flights will be operated on the brand new Boeing MAX 9 fleet, and the airline is offering a special welcome fare starting from €149 (one-way).

Anastasija Visnakova, Chief Commercial Officer, Primera Air: “Berlin has been one of the key bases in our strategy, as it is one of the major European cities and we can bring a lot of tourists from North America, who otherwise could not afford to travel there. Besides, this will be a huge opportunity for German travellers to fly transatlantic for less.”

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, Chairman of the Board of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Primera Air is taking off with three long-haul routes. This shows the airline’s confidence in the Berlin market. Like many other airlines, it sees the tourist and economic potential of the capital’s region. Boston, another important long-haul destination in the USA, will be available non-stop from Berlin from June 2019. Furthermore, the important connections to North America will be strengthened. We wish Primera Air all the best with their flights.”

Primera Air is already operating direct flights from London and Paris to New York, Boston, Washington D.C., Toronto and Montreal. The airline offers a highly flexible range of products – the basic Light fare class offers the lowest prices available for transatlantic flights, the Comfort class includes a variety of extras for very low fares, while Premium provides very spacious seat pitch, great meals and all the benefits usually available for Business class, however, for a lot more affordable price.
