January 31, 2023 - Ralf Teckentrup's successor has been determined: as of February 1, 2024, the experienced manager Peter Gerber will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Condor. The Condor Supervisory Board has already passed the corresponding resolution. Together with Christian Schmitt, COO and Accountable Manager, and Björn Walther, CFO, Peter Gerber will steer Condor's fortunes from the beginning of next year and set the course for growth. Ralf Teckentrup, CEO of Condor since 2004, will then hand over his office to his successor as planned.

Peter Gerber (born 1964) has held various positions in the Lufthansa Group for more than 30 years, including as a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines, as CEO and CFO of Lufthansa Cargo, and most recently as CEO and CCO of Brussels Airlines. The lawyer thus brings with him not only extensive experience in the aviation business, but also far-reaching expertise as a managing director. In addition, he has a strong network in business and politics, which he most recently expanded as Chief Representative for European Affairs of the Lufthansa Group. The former President of the German Air Transport Association (BDL) is held in high regard by the industry and social partners alike.

"We are very pleased to have found in Peter Gerber the CEO for Condor that we were looking for in an extensive selection process: He is not only an extremely experienced aviation manager, but also the leader who will successfully take Condor further into the future," said Friedrich Andreae, Chairman of the Condor Supervisory Board. "Peter Gerber is taking on the major task of continuing to drive Condor's transformation, for example through the modernization of the entire fleet, a large number of digitalization projects and innovations for the customer experience, and thus setting the next course for growth. This is how Condor will become Europe's most successful vacation airline."
