After being unable to commence services during 2020, Nouvelair has decided to re-launch its regular flights from London Gatwick & Manchester in order to help fill the significant loss of capacity to Tunisia which has not returned following the failure of former Thomas Cook Airlines in 2019.
Nouvelair, Majority owned by TTS Group, also involved in DMC and Hotels in Tunisia, has been operating charter and scheduled flights since 1989 with charter flights to the UK for much of this period as well as being one of the largest schedule carriers between France and Tunisia
With a fleet of 11 Airbus A320’s, Nouvelair will initially operate 2 x weekly services from Manchester & 2 x weekly services from Gatwick, commencing Saturday 3rd July 2021. Flights will operate up to the end of October with the potential to extend further.
The programme will also recommence from May 2022, again with twice weekly services from Gatwick and Manchester.
Karim Dahmani, Sales and Marketing Director, commented, “Tunisia has been a very popular destination for UK holiday makers and despite the terrible impact on all our lives caused Covid, we want to make sure we can provide the opportunity for holiday makers to return to Tunisia this Summer”
Initially, seats will be available via the www.nouvelair.com website with 3 price options, from a basic cabin baggage only option to fully flexible, bags and pre-seating included option. Flexible flight changes due to Covid restrictions will also be offered. Nouvelair will also provide seat capacity both to Tour Operators, OTA’s and Travel Agents as well as direct sales via their website and GDS providers Sabre & Amadeus
Carl Denton, UK Sales added, “After Eight years of co-operation with charter flights from the UK, we are excited to be able to support Nouvelair in their next chapter, allowing the Travel Trade greater access to seat capacity to Tunisia.”
