Norwegian Air Shuttle transferred an order for six B787-9s to Singapore lessor, BOC Aviation. The aircraft are worth US$1.69 billion at list prices.

According to Boeing's lastest Orders & Deliveries update, the swap was made recently. In addition, BOC Aviation filed a stock exchange filing, confirming it had purchased the Dreamliners.

BOC Aviation expects delivery of the aircraft in 2018-19, "unless the airline elects to purchase the aircraft itself on delivery", according to the filing, as BOCA "granted an option to an airline to either take the aircraft on a long-term lease from the company or to purchase the aircraft itself at the time of delivery."

Norwegian has now reduced its B787-9s on order to 13, with the closing of the deal.
